Introducing MMPA Producer Dionicio Virvez

About my History

Dionicio Virvez, A Native Mayan Actor, followed an unusual and interesting path to a successful acting carreer. He grew up in Santa Eulalia a Small Town in Guatemala. Years later he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and also to became a teacher. He worked with children because he loved them, but one day he realized that this was not going to be his carreer. (he wanted to establish effective communication in the entertainment industry through any and every way posible).

In the Late 80's Dionicio saw an advertisement for eight months course learning martial arts in los Angeles. He got an opportunity to learn fighting scenes with Diamond Harvest Motion Picture under film Choreographer Young Moon Kwon, and because of his incredible learning ability he was offered his first role as a professional Stuntman in a corean movie titled "Deadly Ninja". This opportunity helped to obtain his second professional role as a stuntman on a movie made for TV "Steven Stories". other parts followed such as:

  • Ancient Astronauts.
  • For Life.
  • The Terminal.
  • Stone Cold.
  • American East.
  • The Wager and more...

    In 1993 Dionicio took his carreer in to a different level MMPA founder and Executive Producer Jarvee Hutcherson offered him to coproduce the first Minority Motion Picture Awards Show held at the Wiltern Theatre in los Angeles.

    Currently DIonicio is working on the Sixteenth Diversity Award Show at the Universal Studios Hollywood, and the Upcoming film "junkyard". Ancient Astronauts Produced by the National Geographic Society aired on national television in october 2006. "Ancient Astronauts. looket in to the idea of the Incas having communication with extraterrestrials, amazing architectural feats and huge drawings done by the Incas interested virvez when working on to the proyect.

    In addition to Dionicio's credits, he has also been a radio producer for more than fifteen years and worked as a writer for hispanic magazines in California.
